Salary: $36 per hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Childcare Giver to provide attentive care for children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating home environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the children’s well-being, engaging them in educational and recreational activities, and assisting with daily routines.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and care for children in the employer’s home
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to childcare, such as tidying play areas and washing children’s dishes
- Teach children appropriate social behaviors, hygiene, and discipline as instructed by parents
- Accompany children to appointments, school, or outdoor activities as needed
- Administer basic first aid if necessary and report any health concerns to parents
- Follow the parents’ guidelines and routines for child care
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Professional training in early childhood education is preferred.
- One year experience as a childcare provider, nanny, or babysitter is required.
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to create a safe and nurturing environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- References and background check required
