Hephaestus Homes Ltd. has an openings for Floor Covering Installers (Noc 73113) to work and support the team. As a Floor Covering Installer (Noc 73113), you will perform all or some of the following duties:
• Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding
• Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
• Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors
• Prepare tenders and quotations
• Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings
• Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
• Estimate costs and materials
• Prepare floors for installations
• Employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting
• Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
• Install outdoor carpets
• Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms
Education Qualifications: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Work experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Terms of employment: Full Time / Permanent (30 to 35 hours / week)
Employment: Morning, Day, Evening, Shift
Compensation: CAD $36.00 /hour
Work site environment: Dusty
Work Setting: Various locations, Industrial, Residential and Commercial
