Task for Hairstylists
- Suggest hairstyle compatible with client’s physical features or determine style from client’s instructions and preferences
- Cut, trim, taper, curl, and style hair
- Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair
- May shampoo and rinse hair
- May perform receptionist duties and order supplies
- May train or supervise other hairstylists, hairstylist apprentices and helpers.
Work Conditions and Physical capabilities:
- High volume hair salon in the heart of Southwest Edmonton. Significant repeat clientele and walk ins. Business continues to grow at rapid pace.
- Must be able to stand for a long period of time due to continuous clientele

- Must be dependable in managing facility such as opening and closing business
- Ability to delegate ensure completion of duties by other staff

Work Setting
- Independent hair salon in one of the busiest strips in the city
Language
- English
Education
- Completion of Secondary Education required
- Completion of a Vocational program in Hair Styling required
Experience
- a minimum of 3 years’ experience in lieu of vocational certification
Wages $20.30 hourly plus gratuity
